Nature's Medicines Work for You

Improvement of the kindergarten playground at the Cházár András EGYMI Student Hostel and Children’s Home in Vác created an environmentally friendly site where children with special educational needs can learn about environmentally conscious behaviour and preserving nature in accordance with their abilities. For children with special educational needs, it is crucial to become familiar with nature through touching, smelling, tasting and feeling. The renovated playground and vegetable garden offers this opportunity.

The project with the imaginative name “Nature's Medicines Work for You” was inaugurated on 23 September 2016 by guests including János Szarkándi, Chairman-General Manager of DDC. The company sponsored the project with HUF 1.755.000.

A DDC 2011 őszén indította útjára a Zöld Megoldás-pályázatot azzal a céllal, hogy forrást biztosítson a helyi közösségek önszerveződő kezdeményezései számára környezetük zöldebbé tételéhez és a helyi infrastruktúrák környezettudatosabb hasznosításához, valamint a természeti környezet megismerésének elősegítéséhez.
