In 2011 DDC launched the Green Solution Tender to help the local infrastructure becoming green and promote environmentally conscious thinking by providing financial resources for local communities. In Vác the Kisvác-Középváros Kindergarten won the tender, and they created an interactinve nature trail for children. This nature trail gives them the opportunity to be more familiar with nature and wildlife. The other winner is Madách Imre High School in Vác. The school created a green community park, also the bathrooms of the school recieved energy saving light bulbs, and motion detector faucets.
