Kőröshegy Viaduct

The Kőröshegy Viaduct is located in Somogy County along the southern shore of Lake Balaton, between Zamárdi and Balatonszárszó, Hungary. It was opened to traffic in August 2007. A total of 68,400t of váci and beremendi cement and 180,000 m3 of DDC concrete were used to build the bridge and connection to the M7 motorway. 3 different concrete plants supplied the project, one located right next to the construction site.

A special feature of the bridge is that it collects rainwater and diverts the water to a purpose-built reservoir. The collected and cleaned rainwater then flows through the Séd River back into Lake Balaton.
